Meet Dr. Reid

Welcome,

I’m Dr. Ashlee Reid, a licensed clinical psychologist dedicated to providing compassionate and developmentally informed care to children and their families. I specialize in working with young children (0-5), perinatal populations, and families facing medical or developmental challenges.

With a focus on early intervention, my mission is to strengthen relationships between children and their caregivers. I believe that every behavior is a form of communication and work closely with parents to decode their child’s needs, whether rooted in unmet emotions or responses to their environment. Together, we explore practical, developmentally appropriate strategies to foster connection, joy, and emotional well-being.

Why I Started Early Elements

I founded Early Elements because I saw firsthand how many families and professionals struggle to find the right support for early development and neurodivergence. My goal is to bridge that gap by offering practical, research-backed resources to help children thrive and families feel confident in their journey.

My Approach

In my work, I draw on the science of Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB) and attachment theory to guide interventions that nurture emotional resilience and growth in children. My sessions often involve both parents and children (dyadic therapy) and offer tools for parents to better understand their child’s emotional needs. Whether it's managing the stress of parenting or supporting a child through a developmental disorder, my goal is to empower families to build healthy, fulfilling relationships.

Therapeutic Modalities

Advocacy and Empowerment

Beyond my clinical work, I am committed to social justice and advocacy for underserved populations. I work to dismantle systemic barriers in healthcare and education, empowering families to access the support they need. I believe in providing culturally responsive care that honors the unique backgrounds and experiences of the families I serve.
